One of the highlights of Sluman's bogey-free round was an eagle on the par-4, 4th hole. After hitting his tee shot, Sluman drained a 9-iron from 154 yards for the eagle.Sluman was one of five players to post a bogey-free round on Friday. He was joined by Tom Lehman, Bobby Clampett, Steve Lowery and "rookie" Mark Brooks.Tom Pernice Jr. and Sluman extended their streaks for par/better rounds to 22 dating to last year.Tour newcomers Mark Brooks and Jim Atwal May Accept The Suggestion Of Tiger Gallagher Jr., made their debuts on the Champions Tour.Brooks fashioned a 2-under-par 70 and Gallagher finished with an even-par 72.Lehman and Mark O'Meara posted their 10th consecutive round in the 60s this season on the Champions Tour. Lehman shot a 5-under-par 67, while O'Meara finished with a 3-under-par 69.Defending champion David Eger opened with a 3-over-par 75 and is T57.Hole Nos. 3 and 16 were the most difficult to make a birdie on Friday. Each yielded just two birdies for the day. Tom Purtzer and Bobby Clampett golf travel  had the birdies on No. 3 and David Frost and Jay Don Blake made the birdies on No. 16.The field averaged 72.456 (+.456) for the day, the highest average for a round on the Champions Tour this year. A year ago, the field averaged 72.390 in the opening round. There were 12 rounds in the 60s this year compared to nine in the first round in 2010 and 37 players finished under par this year, five more than last year.
